My Bio
My name is Lisa Ramsammy, also know as "thedollplace".
I specialize in realistic hand painted 13 and 16 inch doll repaints and equine portraits, scenery. Medium - acrylic paints both on dolls and canvas. I do my own photography. My artwork is usually seen on Ebay. I have been doing fine art for more than 30 years. I started in high school, was taking photographs of race events at thoroughbred racetracks in my native country of Trinidad and Tobago when I was commisioned to do portraits of race horses by various horse owners when they realised I could paint horse portraits.I sign all my horse art in my maiden name Lisa Carbery. From there after getting married and starting a family I got into collecting dolls and discovered a whole new avenue in art. I now mainly focus on realistic character and non character doll repaints.
